Short history behind the FGN guitars
FujiGen started production in 1960, making violins and classical guitars and started production of electric guitars in 1962. In the 70s they started OEM production for many well respected Japanese brands as like Ibanez, Greco and Yamaha. FujiGen started to use CNC routers in production since 1981, just to say how innovated was the manufacture in the early 80s. In 1981–82 FujiGen obtained the Fender Japan contract which lasted until 1996–97, they produced over 14000 guitars pro month and mostly for exports. Also FujiGen worked for Orville by Gibson, Epiphone and Gretsch. Today FujiGen makes some great classic style and own designed guitars in Japan factory under the own brand name is FGN Guitars.
