Atkin D37 Dreadnought Aged natural finished acoustic guitar. Atkin Guitars was founded in Canterbury, England, in 1995. Still in Canterbury, they build around 350 guitars a year, each one still handmade. The most popular steel-string guitar of all time, the dreadnought is a design classic. The Atkin Dreadnought is based on the classic pre-war models of the 1930s. With its deep body and scalloped braces, the Atkin Dreadnought puts out an incredibly strong, full sound. It’s one of the biggest sounding guitars. Dreadnought body shape is very popular for hard strumming and bluegrass/country and folk style players or guitarists need the most versatile playability model. D37 has built with solid baked Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides. Baked top ensures that the top is exposed to heat and pressure, so that it has already lost much of its moisture to this treatment. The result is a guitar with a played in character like an older vintage acoustic guitar. Indian rosewood produces tight detailed and dynamic bass response.
